The Safari Zoo Run 2012 team thanks all participants for their ardent support towards the event! A total amount of $80,000 was raised for our wildlife. We look forward to seeing you next year!Singapore’s award-winning parks the Singapore Zoo & Night Safari were transformed into a race course for Safari Zoo Run 2012, an annual event that takes participants through its scenic paths and animal exhibits.

The run, which is into its fourth year, attracted some 7,000 participants, both young and old. It was flagged off by MP for Marine Parade GRC, Dr Fatimah Lateef.Organisers said it was conceptualised to commemorate the death anniversary of orang utan Ah Meng, one of Singapore’s most adored animal personalities.The run is also aimed at promoting wildlife conservation.The event raised nearly S$80,000.Part of the proceeds will go to the care of endangered animals in the Zoo and Night Safari.

General Information Safari Zoo Run 2012
Jointly organized by the Wildlife Reserves Singapore and Pink Apple Pte Ltd, the Safari Zoo Run aims to give runners from all walks of life a unique and memorable experience! Part of the proceeds from this event will also go towards the care of endangered animals at Night Safari and Singapore Zoo.

Here again for the fourth year, the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari will be opening their doors for a…ll avid runners to enjoy the sights of our wildlife exhibits while keeping up with a healthy lifestyle through the run in the parks. Safari Zoo Run 2012 will start in the morning instead of the late afternoon as in previous years.

Not to forget, the Safari Zoo Run also serves as an event to mark the death anniversary of our late tourism icon, Ah Meng. Put on your running shoes and join us for a fabulous day!See More
