At a news conference on Wednesday, WP chairman Sylvia Lim said Mr Yaw Shin Leong was expelled as he had several indiscretions in his private life, and the party has to take this step in public interest.She said other WP MPs will cover Mr Yaw Shin Leong’s duties.The decision paves the way for a by-election in Hougang, just nine months after the May elections.
