Laughing Gor Turning Point 2011

Herman Yau returns to direct the sequel to 2009′s “Turning Point”, aptly named “Turning Point 2 Laughing Gor”, which stars Michael Tse in the title role of “Laughing Gor” and co-stars Francis Ng, Chapman To and Bosco Wong.

The Hong Kong film is also a direct sequel to the 2011 TV series “Lives of Omission” and is the third spin-off of “The Academy” franchise which features Tse’s character from “E.U.” This instalment sees Laughing returning to his work undercover, but as a prisoner, where he soon befriends Fok Tin Yam (Francis Ng), a former college professor who has him thinking about the boundaries between good and evil. Matters take a turn for the worse when he encounters his rival So Sing Pak (Bosco Wong) once again.

LAUGHING GOR – TURNING POINT, a feature movie spinoff from TVB’s popular TV police drama E.U. was a critically-acclaimed box-office hit when it was released in 2009.

Two years later, a sequel has arrived with LAUGHING GOR – TURNING POINT 2, which is set for a Hong Kong theatrical release on December 29, 2012 but local viewers will only be able to watch it on January 5 next year. Laughing Gor Synopsis: Laughing (starring Michael Tse) is sentenced to life-imprisonment for killing So (starring Bosco Wong). While serving his time, Laughing got to know Professor (starring Francis Ng), an introvert jailed for drug-dealing. Professor is a trained psychologist who reads mind, enabling him to manipulate and control others. The visit of a mysterious lady from the Security Bureau, confirms Laughing’s imprisonment is all part of a new mission… Is the mysterious Professor a friend or foe? Will Laughing complete his duty and survive the ordeal of mistaken identity.
