Han Sung-joo Speaks Out About Traumatic Divorce :Miss Korea 1994 and former SBS announcer Han Sung-joo has spoken openly about the difficulties she went through after her divorce.On the SBS “Late Night Show” on Monday, Han Sung joo said, “There were so many things that I didn’t get to do just because I was a divorcee. I was shunned for the same reason. Things were harsh.”

But despite painful memories of her divorce, she says she desperately hopes to meet somebody soon and get married again.A graduate of Korea University, Han Sung joo won the Miss Korea beauty pageant in 1994. She married the third son of AeKyung cosmetics and detergent conglomerate chairwoman Chang Young-shin in 1999 but divorced just 10 months later.Despite the emotional blow, Han Sung joo said she wants to show a better, more confident side of herself in the media.

MC and news anchor Han Sung Joo is reportedly facing a lawsuit from former acquaintance ‘A’ for locking him in a room and assaulting him for eight hours.On December 20th, ‘A’ filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central District Court claiming that in March, Han Sung Joo, her brother, mother, and two other men had locked him in a room and assaulted him for eight hours. ‘A’ requested $500,000 USD in compensation for the trauma.

His lawyer expressed, “After being assaulted for eight hours, ‘A’ was too afraid of what they would do to him to immediately report it to the police. He will be requesting an extra $500,000 USD to compensate for the pain and mental trauma he endured.”

Han Sung Joo’s lawyers responded to the claims on December 22nd by stating, “We feel that it’s rather fortunate that he filed a lawsuit because that means he will have to return to Korea to stand in court, which will give us an opportunity to charge him for his own wrongdoings. We have ample evidence to claim our innocence, and what he claims isn’t the truth at all. He claims that he was locked and assaulted in a room, but it was actually he that voluntarily entered.”

This is the latest development in the Han Sung Joo- ‘A’ case, where ‘A’ (previously referred to as ‘B’ in past articles before the identity of Han Sung Joo was confirmed) released a sex tape of Han Sung Joo along with numerous accusations of assault and humiliation against her.
