Floating body of Indian man found in Bedok Reservoir :The body of an Indian male was retrieved by officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) from Bedok Reservoir early on Monday morning.
Police had received a call at about 8.35am, informing them of a body floating in the Bedok reservoir.SCDF officers found a body floating near the shore when they arrived shortly after. The male casualty was pronounced dead by a SCDF paramedic at 9.22am. The deceased is believed to be Indian construction worker Raman Selvam, 33.
He had been missing since Saturday and was last seen walking into the Bedok reservoir on Saturday afternoon. Eyewitnesses said the man refused help from passers-by who had tried to throw him a life buoy.

The bodies of a woman and a young boy were found floating in Bedok Reservoir yesterday morning.They are believed to be those of 32-year-old Tan Sze Sze and her three-year-old son Jerald Chin Le Hui (picture). They were last seen in Clementi on Tuesday morning. Both were dressed in red tops.
The police said they were notified of the two bodies at around 7am.Paramedics pronounced the woman and the boy dead about 10 minutes later.The authorities have classified the case as that of unnatural death.The incident is the most recent of several in which bodies have been found in reservoirs, rivers and other water bodies.
In June, the lower half of a body was found in the same Bedok reservoir, while in late July, the body of an elderly man was found in Lower Seletar Reservoir.In the case yesterday, the bodies were found a stone’s throw away from a coffeeshop and other retail outlets but, no one MediaCorp spoke to had noticed anything out of the ordinary in recent days
