Andy Rooney, 92, signs off from ’60 Minutes’ : The presenter said legendary Andy Rooney offered his closing remarks, the Sunday news show “60 Minutes”, capping a career that spanned over six decades. In his latest essay, delivered around 8:15 p.m., Rooney said: “This time I awful. “I want to do everything. But I can not,” he said. “But I’m not retired. Writers are not retired, and I will always be a writer.” CBS announced Tuesday that the upcoming program, five days for a period of 92 award-winning writer, journalist and commentator.
