Harbhajan Singh Marries Actress Geeta Basra PHOTOS

JALANDHAR: Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh married Bollywood star Geeta Basra on Thursday and here is a look at the romantic journey of the couple.A formal wedding reception will be held in a five-star hotel in Delhi on November 1.Several celebrities from the world of cricket and Bollywood will attend the event.Earlier, a mehendi and sangeet ceremony was held at Harbhajan’s family home.Harbhajan, who was part of India’s ODI squad which played against South Africa recently, had been dating the actress for the last few years.

Geeta was wearing a heavy red lehenga made of ahimsa silk which was designed by Archana Kochhar, Bhajji looked every bit the Punjabi groom in a heavy sherwani and red turban. Speaking to HT after the wedding, the cricketer said, “I am feeling great. It is a very special day of my life.”

The wedding is to be followed by a reception at Club Cabana. The ground is prepared to receive Nita Ambani, who owns Bhajji’s Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 team Mumbai Indians, and her husband, Mukesh Ambani, whose chartered aircraft is expected to land here on Thursday morning. The wedding resort has been secured for the VIPs. Cricketers Parthiv Patel, Dinesh Karthik, RP Singh, and Pragyan Ojha have arrived in the city already.
